  • Lou Edgar
    Vice President Rarity Bay
    Vice President Rarity Bay

When thinking of Rarity Bay Vice President Lou Edgar, here are some numbers to consider…39, 42, 40. No, those aren’t measurements, but 39 years of real estate experience, 42 years as a husband to Annelle and 40 years as a father of three. Lou has been vice president of sales for Rarity Bay for approximately a year and a half. Before taking the reigns, he was a sales consultant and was promoted based on his integrity, leadership and ethics.

But another number to consider is the three years that Lou and his wife have been residents of Rarity Bay. They were featured in the Knoxville News-Sentinel in September 2007 for their pride and loyalty to their community. Residents of Myrtle Beach, SC, the Edgars had visited friends in Rarity Bay before deciding to become residents themselves.

“Every area has its special qualities,” said Lou. “When we came here, we had come home.”

A pilot with over 2200 hours, Lou is a proud 1968 Vietnam veteran and member of the United States Air Force Thunderbird Alumni Association. He served for 10 years as the South Carolina Association of Realtors Mediator and 15 on the Greater Grand Strand Association of Realtors Professional Standards Committee, as well as 12 on the ethics committee. His other previous experience includes 10 years as a vice president for a home designer and as a builder.

As a scuba diver, golfer, boater and hiker, Lou has found his place at Rarity Bay. As he says, “It’s God’s country” in East Tennessee.
